In an approach that goes beyond this aspect, this research brings to the discussion Viktor Frankl's theory, which considers the human being formed by three dimensions: biological/somatic; psychological/animistic, and noetic/spiritual. Such dimensions were the basis for proposing a training course, based on the following research problem: experiences that can be experienced by Physical Education teachers in a training course on childhood obesity prevention, in the light of the franklian theory? It was established as a general objective: to investigate the experiences of Physical Education teachers in a course of prevention of childhood obesity, in the light of the Franklian theory and, as specific objectives: 1) to articulate the concepts of continued formation of Physical Education teachers, theory of Viktor Frankl and childhood obesity; 2) design, for implementation and evaluation, a continuing education course for Physical Education teachers in preventing childhood obesity, in the light of Viktor Frankl's theory; 3) explain the experiences experienced by Physical Education teachers participating in the training course, and 4) systematize the training course implemented, an educational product of the research, in accordance with CAPES requirements for professional master's degrees in teaching. The participants of the research, carried out in the distance modality, were 14 Physical Education teachers from the State Secretariat of Education and Sports of Amazonas (SEDUC-AM). A qualitative research was carried out in which the method used for data production was action research (TRIPP, 2005), in four phases: 1) diagnosis; 2) planning; 3) implementation, and 4) evaluation, using participant observation and conversation as techniques and instruments, respectively; field journal; monitoring of classes via Google Meet, and production of participants (preparation of lesson plans). To analyze the constructed data, Creswell (2014) was used to organize the analysis in three moments, namely: data organization; data coding, and data interpretation. The research results make it possible to explain the following experiences experienced by Physical Education teachers in the training course for preventing childhood obesity, in the light of the Franklian theory: 1) recognition of the importance of human three-dimensionality to overcome challenges facing the prevention of childhood obesity; 2) understanding of the importance of human three-dimensionality being related to the proposals of the BNCC for the prevention of childhood obesity and for the creation of new paths; 3) Perception of human three-dimensionality as a factor inherent to the human being, possible to be used in other circumstances. A formação de professores de Educação Física apresenta desafios, sobretudo quando se trata da prevenção da obesidade infantil, pois, quando se pensa em obesidade, traz-se, primordialmente, à memória o aspecto biológico desse problema. Em uma abordagem para além desse aspecto, esta pesquisa traz para a discussão a teoria de Viktor Frankl, que considera o ser humano formado por três dimensões: biológica/somática; psicológica/anímica, e noética/espiritual. Tais dimensões foram fundamentos para a proposição de um curso formativo, a partir do seguinte problema de pesquisa: quais vivências podem ser experienciadas por professores de Educação Física em um curso formativo de prevenção à obesidade infantil, à luz da teoria frankliana? Estabeleceu-se como objetivo geral: investigar as vivências de professores de Educação Física em um curso de prevenção à obesidade infantil, à luz da teoria frankliana e, como objetivos específicos: 1) articular os conceitos de formação continuada de professores de Educação Física, teoria de Viktor Frankl e obesidade infantil; 2) elaborar, para implementação e avaliação, um curso de formação continuada professores de Educação Física em prevenção à obesidade infantil, à luz da teoria de Viktor Frankl; 3) explicitar as vivências experienciadas por professores de Educação Física participantes do curso formativo, e 4) sistematizar o curso formativo implementado, produto educacional da pesquisa, em conformidade com as exigências da CAPES para os mestrados profissionais em ensino. Os participantes da pesquisa, realizada na modalidade a distância, foram 14 professores de Educação Física do quadro da Secretaria de Estado de Educação e Desporto do Amazonas (SEDUC-AM). Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa em que o método utilizado para a produção de dados foi a pesquisa-ação (TRIPP, 2005), em quatro fases: 1) diagnóstico; 2) planejamento; 3) implementação, e 4) avaliação, tendo como técnicas e instrumentos, respectivamente, observação participante e roda de conversa; diário de campo; gravações das aulas via Google Meet, e produção dos participantes (elaboração de planos de aulas). Para analisar os dados construídos, utilizou-se Creswell (2014) para organizar a análise em três momentos, a saber: organização dos dados; codificação dos dados, e interpretação dos dados. Os resultados da pesquisa permitem explicitar as seguintes vivências experienciadas pelos professores de Educação Física no curso formativo de prevenção à obesidade infantil, à luz da teoria frankliana: 1) reconhecimento da importância da tridimensionalidade humana para a superação de desafios frente à prevenção da obesidade infantil; 2) compreensão da importância da tridimensionalidade humana estar relacionada às propostas da BNCC para a prevenção da obesidade infantil e para criação de novos caminhos; 3) Percepção da tridimensionalidade humana como fator inerente ao ser humano, possível de ser empregado em outras circunstâncias.
