The objective of this study is to report a case of a patient who had urethral obstruction, followed up during the mandatory supervised stage. Considering the clinical signs observed and the analyses of their examinations, the patient presented systemic complications resulting from obstruction in the urethra lumen, with the presence of bacterial cystitis and hematuria. This condition with urine retention lasted long enough to generate systemic complications, which generated an acute condition of renal failure, with an unfavorable prognosis, and then the patient was euthanized Keywords: feline idiopathic cystitis, bacterial cystitis, obstructive cystitis, acute kidney injury, euthanasia As cistites são as doenças que mais afetam o trato urinário inferior de felinos, elas podem ter diversas causas, conhecidas ou não o que pode dificultar o diagnóstico. Geralmente, apresentam os mesmos sinais clínicos de distúrbios de micção com ou sem obstrução da uretra, por isso, acabam muitas vezes recebendo o mesmo tratamento sintomático. O objetivo deste trabalho é fazer um relato de caso de um paciente que teve obstrução uretral, acompanhado durante o estágio supervisionado obrigatório. Considerando os sinais clínicos observados e as análises dos seus exames, o paciente apresentava complicações sistêmicas decorrentes da obstrução no lúmen da uretra, com presença de cistite bacteriana e de hematúria.
