The industrial sector, especially the petrochemical sector, is increasingly competitive with its competitors in terms of maintenance cost, which is often undesirable for the production process given its non-acceptance by managers. Centrifugal pumps, on the other hand, are hydraulic machines and have a very important role in the production chain in general by inserting energy into the system, propelling the fluids, mixing them, dosing them, etc. These pumps can fail during their operation, undesirable condition to the productive process, since it can trigger incalculable costs, this is where the techniques of predictive maintenance enter, techniques that will try to predict an approximate life time of these equipments, through the analysis Vibration, thermography, particle analysis of lubricating oil and / or even transported fluids, visual inspections, non-destructive tests, etc. This work has the purpose of defining and detailing the predictive maintenance techniques performed in the centrifugal pumps of a petrochemical plant in the municipality of Manaus. |
