The present work of Course Conclusion was developed in the scope of the Pedagogy Course
of UFAM/IEAA, whose objective was to investigate the pedagogical practices and
methodologies worked in the subject of Geography in Elementary School I in a Municipal
School of Humaitá/AM. The research is of a qualitative nature for which data were generated
from the application of questionnaires intended for participants, being two teachers of the
Municipal Network of Elementary School I. Authors who discuss the teaching of geography
in the initial years were used as theoretical input for this research, being: Flores (2018),
Fernandes (2020), Smith and Strick (2007), Santos (2006) and Queluz e Alonso (2003). We
also follow official documents that guide the school contents, such as: PCNs (1997) and
BNCC (2018) among others. The results show that, although teachers feel fulfilled while
teaching, they need to deal with the devaluation and challenges encountered in the Teaching
of Geography. The teachers' responses show that they enjoy teaching and are enthusiastic
about teaching geography. It was also found that teachers say they feel motivated and that
their greatest motivation is to see their students advance in their learning and teaching. It was
possible to affirm that both of them use in their classes materials and didactics according to
the guidelines of official documents such as PCN's and BNCC, among others. Based on the
answers of the researched teachers, it is possible to affirm that there are indications that the
teachers seek to work on the contents of geography relating theory to the daily life of their
students, and seek to follow the official guidelines directed to the teaching of geography in the
initial years. |
