Socio-scientific themes are important, because they allow us to understand the current overcomes, themes resulting from the discussions of a globalized era in the midst of the development of science and technology, which emerged vigorously from the industrial revolution. Thus, a research was carried out remotely using the WhatsApp application, with the aim of understanding the approach of socio-scientific topics in the teaching of Natural Sciences, Biology and Chemistry with teachers from two schools in the municipality of Benjamin Constant-AM. Bibliographic, descriptive and exploratory research was used, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, and the data collection instrument was the semi-structured questionnaire applied to teachers in the disciplines of Natural Sciences, Biology and Chemistry. About the results, 90% of the teachers said they knew the concept of socio-scientific themes, however, despite this amount, only 3 teachers actually reported a concept close to that chosen as a basis. 90% of the professors said that they approached the subjects related to socio- scientific themes in their pedagogical practices, however, it is notable that there may be a conceptual confusion of what the socio-scientific themes would be, especially because there was a superficiality in their answers. It is worth mentioning that 70% of teachers said that the school works on socio-scientific issues, and are carried out in various segments, through projects, a science fair, exhibition of posters and / or similar, moreover, 70% of these said that happen in an interdisciplinary way. In view of the panorama, it is evident that the didactic practice of the teacher is extremely important to allow a discussion on socio-scientific subjects in teaching spaces, in such a way as to stimulate those students who do not obtain a good performance related to the learning of issues that polarize socio-scientific themes. Therefore, the paths taken in the learning process are socialized and shared among the collective, school and teacher, teacher and student. The guarantee of educational success is achieved through close links between doing learning and the art of teaching, which is by far the premise of those who are committed to education, and it is up to all agents of this relationship, the commitment to the current guidelines that are dictated, either through the BNCC, National Curricular Parameter - PCN's or even the Laws of Guidelines and Bases - LDB
