Frontier, borders, barriers or bridges? Division / s that separates two or more worlds - linguistic, cultural, imaginary or real, social or subjective - or that unite them? An old dilemma, with different interpretations, depending on who offers them and the perspective that you adopt. Borders are not the same for the scope of power, concerned with territorial demarcation, and for the those who experience them, who feel them. Borders, whether understood as barriers or as bridges to be crossed, without restrictions, fears or traumas, manifest in many ways, not only in territories - between nations, regions, states, municipalities, zones, neighborhoods, but also between races, ethnicities, classes, varieties, variants and records of languages, modalities and production spaces ... Borders also inhabit us when we look at ourselves, at our interior, because, in a more or less conflicting way, we are many, even when we look at our own languages and to speak them: these situate and divide us or unite, include or exclude us, since the language is a powerful political instrument, a place of power.
