Objective: To identify and associate the physical-functional and subjective health assessment aspects of elderly people evaluated in their homes in a city in the interior of Amazonas. Methodology: This is an observational and cross-sectional study. Sample consisting of 81 elderly, aged 60 years or over. To assess the functional physical domain, the Short Physical Performance Batterry (SPPB), World Health Organization Disability Assessment (WHODAS 2.0), Functional Comorbidity Index, Brazilian Oars Multidimensional Functional Assessment Questionnaire (BOMFAQ) and a questionnaire for Subjective Health Assessment were used Results: All the elderly in this study live in the interior of Amazonas, where 93.8% claim to be retired, of which 42.7% are aged between 70 and 79 years old and predominantly female 76.5%, low education is a mark of this group where 67.9% individuals studied less than five years; 40.7% did not reach even half of the total SPPB points, when asked if they could walk a distance of approximately 1 kilometer 63.0% reported having no difficulties in the last 30 days, but 81.5% reported having a perceived health regular or bad. Conclusion: The elderly in this study do not show physical-functional decline, but they assess their subjective health negatively. |
