Resumo:
The distribution of medicines already presents logistical challenges in regions with exclusive access to waterways, such as the mesoregion of Alto Solimões, in the Amazon. Added to this challenge is the difficulty of controlling stocks in times of the COVID-19 pandemic, which changes the entire logic of demand, acquisition and distribution of medicines and individual protection supplies in establishments of the first sector, such as hospitals and basic health units, as well as in second sector establishments, such as drugstores. The present work has as general objective to diagnose the impact on the stock control of pharmaceutical products in private drugstores in the city of Benjamin Constant, Amazonas-AM in times of pandemic of COVID-19. To develop this work, a case study was developed in 3 drugstores located in the city of Benjamin Constant - AM on April 21, 2021, with a qualitative and descriptive approach. The scientific digital database such as: CAPES Journal Portal, Institutional Repository of the State University of Amazonas (UEA) and Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), and Academic Google. Having as main descriptors: "Drugstores", "Stock" "Supply Chain", in order to capture only information related to the research topic. For data collection in loco, a questionnaire was applied to the owners of 3 drugstores with closed and open questions to evaluate this theme. Given the above, in relation to the challenges of the pandemic, it is clear that, in general, logistics has always been a challenging area for health services. Whether due to the quantity of items needed for the operation of the service provided, or the constant search or strategies to reduce inventory levels, Since the covid-19 pandemic resulted in a great demand, however, the challenges were overcome without affecting the quality and speed of service. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of stock control tools can help drugstores to improve the service provided to the population and prevent interruptions in the supply of medicines. It should be emphasized that using the ABC curve method allows inventory managers to more accurately define replenishment points and safety stocks, thus avoiding service interruption. In short, Health management is not recommended for large stocks, which would correspond to unnecessarily immobilized capital, it is important that replacement occurs at shorter intervals and that it meets demand.
