Traditional games make it possible to develop an education based on the playful and creative
process. In this context, School Physical Education stands out as a subject that has as one of its
functions to propose to the students new ways of playing and exercising their creativity. The
objective of this study was to investigate studies that address the use of traditional games and
play in Physical Education classes for Elementary School. To carry out this study, the
integrative literature review method was adopted, so that the selection of articles was made
through a survey and analysis of what was published on the object of study in the online
databases Lilacs, Scielo, PubMed, and Bireme. The results of the integrative analysis allowed
us to quantify only five studies on this theme, which is too few for the interval of a decade. It
is worth pointing out that studies on traditional games and games in school Physical Education
are extremely important, as they corroborate the identification of the relevance and applicability
of traditional games and games as a multidisciplinary teaching tool. It was possible to conclude
that the objectives of most of the studies analyzed was to use this content as a tool for cultural
rescue, for the development of critical thinking, as a possibility of using it in school Physical
Education the development of critical thinking, as a possibility of content for Physical
Education classes in elementary school. |
