Resumo:
Today's society has been striving to carry out actions that ensure a healthy and sustainable environment for future generations. In this context, the management of sludge, waste from sewage treatment, has been characterized as an activity of great complexity and high cost, when poorly executed, it can compromise the expected environmental and health benefits. There are numerous alternatives for the final disposal of the sludge, the most common being: disposal in landfills, incineration, landfarming, recovery of degraded areas, agricultural and forestry use. In this issue, the City of Manaus occupies a negatively prominent position in the national panorama, with only 20% of the urban sewage service rate. This way, the present work performed a preposition of a multi-criteria decision aid methodology, with a method capable of ranking in a simplified way the final disposal alternatives, for a case study of an Effluent Treatment Plant of a condominium located in the city of Manaus. The study was carried out in 5 (five) main stages, in addition to the theoretical survey, the definition of criteria and weights for decision support was carried out, as well as the proposition of technological alternatives in line with the reality of the study case. To aid in the decision, the Simple Additive Weighting statistical tool was used and a matrix of results was built based on the data collected. The results obtained from the matrix and the statistical method found that the alternative of agricultural use is preferable to all others. However, it is noteworthy that all alternatives that have some type of sludge reuse or recycling showed good performance. Finally, it can be concluded that the biggest obstacles to the implementation of agricultural use is the use of a sludge sanitation process, in order to meet the standards set out in CONAMA Resolution No. 375/2006 and the guarantee of moisture reduction, aiming at reducing costs with transport and sludge handling.
