Resumo:
In Brazil, around 65% of goods are handled by road, so the condition of the pavement has a direct impact on cargo transport. The objective of this work is the identification and visual inventory of the apparent degradations, as well as the classification of the conditions of the asphalt coating and the evaluation of the interferences of the degradations registered in the traffic of the cargo vehicles, in a stretch between the kilometers 150 and 160 of the BR-319. The identification and inventory of defects were carried out by means of visual inspections and also using tools and instruments purchased or manufactured in accordance with the recommendations of DNIT Standard 006/2003-PRO Objective Evaluation of the Surface of Flexible and Semi-Rigid Pavements – Procedure. For the evaluation and classification of the conditions of the asphalt coating, the IGG method - Global Severity Index, contained in the same standard, was applied. After obtaining, calculating and analyzing the data collected in the field, the pavement presented a Global Severity Index (IGG) value equal to 142, which classifies the pavement as “Bad”. Finally, with the inventory data and the result of the classification based on the IGG, the possible interferences of cargo vehicles in the road conditions were examined and related, as well as the interferences of the pavement conditions in the trafficability of the vehicles, with emphasis on cargo vehicles. It was observed in the stretch studied that although the most frequent defects were wear, patch, pan and alligator crack, the defects that can effectively compromise the trafficability of vehicles, particularly those carrying cargo are pans, sinking and ripples, as these are that subject vehicles, as well as their respective passengers and cargo, to greater risk of accidents.
