Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Conception is a historic building and its structure is related to geodiversity elements. Since the 17th century, many geological materials have been used in its construction, through the use of clay, clay, sand, and other local resources. However, with the development of the old Manaós, the old materials were replaced by other more refined materials, with delicate and architectural touches that refer to the Colonial Brazil period. With the insertion of these raw materials in the urban fabric, geotourism practices were developed for preservation purposes, since these elements are the reflection of the past in the present. Thus, with the development of technologies, new forms of geotechnologies were adapted for the appreciation of such elements, which often go unnoticed in the midst of everyday routine. This undergraduate thesis, presents the proposal of geo-routes inserted in the Google Earth platform with 13 navigable stations on the 3 mains elements of the geodiversity of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Conception, organized according to their profusion, disposition and uniqueness, between: Arenito Manaus, Fossiliferous Portuguese limestones, and functional works, as the Fountain, the Municipal Clock, the Floriano Peixoto Bust, and the Museum. These elements are located on Avenue Eduardo Ribeiro, on Praça XV de Novembro, around the Temple and inside. The Virtual Roadmap created in Google Earth is available on a Web Site developed for this project with ease of immersion and understanding. In addition, this proposed roadmap contributes to the improvement of geotechnologies in the aid and/or field trips remotely, aiming at bringing geodiversity closer to the community. |
