This research work aims to develop a packaging for bio-jewels, it was perceived that small entrepreneurs who sell bio-jewels, for the most part, use pre-existing packaging in the market for their products, in a way these packages do not stand out among others and do not value the origin of the products inside them (biojewels), therefore, a package that values the product being sold, bringing meaning to the package, valuing the responsible brand, having a feasible production within the financial and practical aspects (assembly, transport and use) and distinguishing itself from other packages for this sort of product on the market, will be designed. During the designing process, the Biomimetic technique will be used. Biojewels are made from natural materials, and with that in mind, biomimetics, being a process that imitates nature (functionally or morphologically), will assist in the packaging design, bringing concepts inspired by nature that will help to convey the same ideas that biojewels convey. In addition to the areas of Packaging Design and Biomimicry, this work will also address the Surface Design area, since every package has a surface to be projected.
