In Brazil, the elderly population has grown significantly in recent decades, with projections indicating that it may reach over a quarter of the population in the near future. Among the specific challenges and needs of this audience, difficulties with medication management stand out as a major concern. This study aimed to develop a secondary packaging for a continuously used medication, designed to facilitate self-administration by the elderly and reduce medication errors. Through literature reviews, consultations with legal regulations, analysis of similar products, and user observations, requirements and parameters were established to enhance medication administration and improve treatment adherence. As a result, a packaging for generic medication Losartana Potassica was developed, featuring easy opening, clear identification and communication of essential information, ample space for user registrations and improved signaling of the medication's purpose.
