General Objective: to analyze through observations the effects of physical education classes on children's lives. Specific objectives: report the experience lived in the Supervised Curricular Internship; and to present a critical position regarding the role of school physical education in elementary education. Methodology: an intervention was carried out in 24 days, with 5 weekly sessions of 4 hours class, with three observation classes, three participation and seven conducting. The contents were based on the assumption of fundamental motor skills: locomotion, manipulation and stabilization. Results: it was observed that the number of classes provided opportunities for greater experiences for children, making the classes conducted by the interns more masterful and independent of activities. Final considerations: the school provides a considerable number of classes, giving children more opportunities to continue in the area of sports or physical exercises, and it also makes 90% of what is proposed by the World Health Organization viable. That leaves only 10% in activities that need to be done outside of school with the support of friends and family. Este é um trabalho de conclusão de curso, na área de Licenciatura em Educação Física caracterizado como descritivo e realizado por meio de relato de experiência em uma escola da rede pública de Manaus. Objetivo Geral: analisar por meio de observações os efeitos das aulas de educação física na vida das crianças. Objetivos específicos: relatar a experiência vivenciada no Estágio Curricular Supervisionado; e apresentar posicionamento crítico quanto o papel da educação física escolar no ensino fundamental. Metodologia: foi realizado uma intervenção em 24 dias, com 5 sessões semanais de 4 horas aula, sendo três aulas observação, três participação e sete regências. Os conteúdos partiam do pressuposto das habilidades motoras fundamentais: locomoção, manipulação e estabilização. Resultados: foi observado que o quantitativo de aulas oportunizava vivências maiores paras crianças, fazendo com que nas aulas regidas pelos estagiários, tivessem mais domínio e independência das atividades. Considerações finais: a escola propícia um número considerável de aulas, fazendo com que as crianças tenham mais oportunidades de continuar na área de esportes ou exercícios físicos, e ainda viabiliza 90% do que é proposto pelas Organização Mundial de Saúde.
