This work shows, overall, going deep into a reflection about the drawing field and its teaching methods at the present time. Therefore, it indicates the possibility of construction of a indigenous artistic reference, through the choice of a study of materials published about recent samples of accomplished arts in Brazil, that uses as a main theme the indigenous artists production. The theoretical referential shows contributions of Edith Derdyk, Lucio Costa e Rosa Iavelberg making it wide open the expressive potentiality on drawing beyond of an idea of mimese, or the assumed line as outline - Inheritance of European statistic traditions. The study also presents a survey and analysis on production of student's drawing developed at schools of art in Parintins and applied methods by teachers, just like piece of art of indigenous artists Daiana Tukano, Denilson Baniwa, Ana Patricia Karuga, Katia Hushahu, collective Mahku and Jaider Esbell, to the light of theoretical referential presented. This research has tried to show that the contemporary art, when it's used as a referential for the practice studies on drawing, amplifiy significantly the expressive potentiality into the graphic field beyond of doing technical and the representative character.
