The present work is a case study carried out in the São Tomé community on the Uaicurapá river, an area in the rural area of Parintins-AM. This is qualitative art research that consisted of a collaborative practice carried out through the language of drawing, aiming to rescue aspects of the cultural memory of the place. The project involved the involvement of 17 community members and former residents (myself included). The research has some referential axes such as memory, identity, culture and drawing and had theoretical support from authors such as Maurice Halbwachs and Ecléa Bosi, regarding the concept of social memory, as well as Santos and Laraia conceptualizing culture; and Edith Derdyk in terms of drawing language. In addition to these, authors who explore the possibilities of artistic expression based on the sociocultural context and the notion of collaborative participation in art were also worked on, providing support for this research. |
