The methodology applied in this course conclusion work was created from three moments: through the bibliographic review, the study carried out in the field (carried out between October and December 2022) and the synthesis and dissemination of the information obtained. All specific objectives (presentation of the disposal steps and techniques, in addition to the treatment of waste and its derivatives), application of the IQR Waste Landfill Quality Index and the general objective were successfully achieved. The final evaluation of the ASM obtained an excellent average score, reaching 8.9, on a scale that goes from 0 to 10.0 points, which makes the conditions for the functioning of the ASM adequate. In the end, a presentation of the system was elaborated in the form of a report after the synthesis of all the information, where the social, scientific, economic and public health importance that Sanitary Landfills present when they are well operated and managed was informed. In addition, existing deficiencies were presented in relation to the treatment of by-products generated by waste: the non-use of energy from biogas and insufficient treatment of percolates. Environmental education projects and updating this research through the IQR were presented as proposals for future work when the ASM approaches its closure. O Aterro Sanitário realiza ações que impactam na forma como os resíduos gerados são manejados e conduzidos por meio da destinação final ambientalmente adequada, sejam eles advindos da construção civil, do comércio em geral, indústrias, seres humanos e animais domésticos, efluentes, entre outros. A metodologia aplicada neste trabalho de conclusão de curso foi criada a partir de três momentos: por meio da revisão bibliográfica, o estudo realizado em campo (realizado entre outubro e dezembro de 2022) e a síntese e divulgação das informações obtidas. Todos os objetivos específicos (apresentação das etapas e técnicas de destinação, além do tratamento dos resíduos e seus subprodutos), aplicação do IQR-Índice de Qualidade de Aterros de Resíduos e o objetivo geral foram alcançados com êxito. A avaliação final do ASM obteve uma pontuação média excelente, chegando a 8.9, em uma escala de que vai de 0 a 10,0 pontos, o que torna afirma adequada as condições de funcionamento do ASM. No fim, foi elaborada uma apresentação do sistema em forma de relatório após a síntese de todas as informações, onde foi informada a importância social, científica, econômica e de saúde pública que os Aterros Sanitários apresentam quando são bem operados e administrados. Além disso foi apresentado deficiências existentes em relação ao tratamento dos subprodutos gerados pelos resíduos: o não aproveitamento energético do biogás e o tratamento de percolados insuficiente.
