In view of this, scientific research has determined that the Folk Festival is an opportunity to generate income for citizens, to show their culture, and current issues regarding the Amazon, a cultural city, thus presenting itself as one of the most important events important in the northern region. Thus, this work aimed to identify the application of socio-scientific themes in the folk festival of the municipality of Benjamin Constant/AM, in the Cultural Alcindo Castelo Branco space, and with the citizens representing the associations of the bois bumbás, Corajoso and Mangangá. Data collection was carried out through a bibliographic review, considering the period of inclusion in the last ten years (2012 - 2022). At the Bumbódromo, the presentations made at the Festival were monitored. Then, the questionnaire was applied, aiming to obtain data on the perceptions of the bumbás coordinators. In this way, it was verified the importance of knowledge of socio-scientific themes in Brazil and in the folk festival of Benjamin in the field of Science, Technology and Society, through a contemporary popular culture. It was verified the valorization and visibility of the regional culture, covering an approach with socio-scientific questions. Through studies, it was possible to verify that only two works were developed in the Amazon that present socio-scientific issues related to the folk festival. However, socio-scientific issues in the folk festival in the Amazon region still need to be studied, since no work has been developed in the Alto Solimões micro-region. However, the perceptions obtained were a positive factor, relating to empirical and scientific knowledge. Os temas sociocientíficos têm sido estudados como uma perspectiva relevante para o desenvolvimento de abordagens no ensino de ciência. À vista disso, pesquisas científicas, determinaram que o Festival folclórico se constitui e uma oportunidade de geração de renda para os cidadãos, de mostrar a sua cultura, e questões atuais referentes a Amazônia, cidade cultural apresentando-se assim, como um dos eventos mais importantes na região norte. Assim, este trabalho teve o objetivo de identificar a aplicação dos temas sociocientíficos no festival folclórico do município de Benjamin Constant/AM, no espaço Cultural Alcindo Castelo Branco, e com os cidadãos representantes das agremiações dos bois bumbás, Corajoso e Mangangá. O levantamento de dados foi realizado, através de revisão bibliográfica, considerando o período de inclusão nos últimos dez anos (2012 – 2022). No Bumbódromo, realizou-se o acompanhamento das apresentações realizadas no Festival. Logo, aplicou-se o questionário, visando a obtenção de dados das percepções dos coordenadores dos bois bumbás. De tal modo, verificou-se a importância do conhecimento dos temas sociocientíficos no Brasil e no festival folclórico benjaminense no campo da Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade, através de uma cultura popular contemporânea. Constatou-se a valorização e visibilidade da cultura regional, abrangendo uma abordagem com questões sociocientíficos. Por meio de estudos, foi possível constatar que apenas dois trabalhos foram desenvolvidos no Amazonas que apresentam questões sociocientíficos relacionadas ao festival folclórico. Contudo, questões sociocientíficos no festival folclórico na região amazônica, ainda necessitam ser estudados, visto que nenhum trabalho foi desenvolvido na microrregião do Alto Solimões.
