Trading card games (TCG) have a plural market, from suppliers and official stores to exchanges between players. However, due to isolation and social distancing, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, this market was harmed, since its main bias was in social events, such as geek convents, official tournaments, etc. Like other businesses, the solution found was digital: websites and apps became the first option for buying and selling, and even social media were implementes by many, including for an omnichannel experience, joining e-commerce with digital marketing. In this context, the use of augmented reality was considered, which by merging the digital interface with the real world ends up providing new perspectives, arousing curiosity and interest, already being explored in several areas for optimization. It is therefore interesting to understand the aspects necessary to adapt the specific TCG audience to the digital environment, in order to develop a mobile application for the Yu-Gi-Oh card game trade. |
