The project "Castanhal: resistance and life" is a photobook that portrays the reality of the Brown
Occupation in Parintins, Amazonas. Developed as a Journalism TCC at UFAM, it seeks to promote
a space of speech in peripheral communities providing improvements in quality of life. Using field
research, interviews and journalistic sensitivity, the photobook highlights local experiences and
awakens reflection on social issues. With an innovative approach, it authentically portrays the reality
of communities and broadens their visibility. The project strengthens democracy by promoting
inclusion, diversity and citizen participation, reinforcing the role of photojournalism in raising
awareness among society and the authorities. |
