The class was held at a state school in the municipality of Tefé - AM and aimed to answer the following question: What are the contributions that Mathematical Modeling can bring to improve the teaching and learning of students in the 1st year of High School, in relation to the study of the Affin function? Thus, through the development of stages that contemplate the teaching methodology known as Mathematical Modeling, the Affin function content was related to knowledge of the local economy, investigating the profit of retailers. The work aimed to promote a motivating and satisfactory learning process, where students gained autonomy in the construction of knowledge, while mathematics was shown in a relaxed and pleasant way. Este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de uma aula sobre Função Afim. A aula foi realizada numa escola estadual do município de Tefé – AM e teve como objetivo responder a seguinte pergunta: Quais as contribuições que a Modelagem Matemática pode trazer para melhorar o ensino e aprendizagem dos alunos no 1º ano do Ensino Médio, em relação ao estudo da função Afim? Desse modo, por meio do desenvolvimento de etapas que contemplam a metodologia de ensino conhecida como Modelagem Matemática, o conteúdo de função Afim foi relacionado ao conhecimento da economia local, investigando o lucro dos lojistas do comércio.
