Non-Governmental Organizations play a crucial role in society and seek to promote public policies through voluntary actions in areas that public authorities are unable to reach. Facing many challenges, mainly financial, many organizations have sought alternatives to achieve greater financial autonomy. With limited resources after the reduction in donations and bureaucratic-administrative requirements in financing processes, motivated Third Sector organizations to carry out activities for commercial purposes to generate their own resources. This research aims to analyze whether the generation of own resources, through the marketing and sale of products/services within organizations, reduces dependence on external resources or diverts the purpose of the institutions. This is a qualitative research, whose research strategy used was the case study in three NGOs in the State of Amazonas. From the descriptive analysis, commercial activities generating own resources were identified, as well as the difficulties faced in carrying them out and the financial return within the organizations. Furthermore, the challenges of maintaining NGOs in Amazonas were mentioned. It was found in the research that the generation of own resources benefits organizations most of the time, where in most cases, they are responsible for keeping their activities active when the drop in donations becomes imminent, and participation in funding calls becomes limited. the imposed requirements. |
