Entrepreneurship is the effct of acting on something new, it is whenyour ideas come out of
plans and begin to take shape and begin to be applied in practice. In indigenous comunities,
people do not have many opportunities in the job Market, many live in poverty. The general
objective of this work is to analyzes small business entrepreneurship in the São Leopoldo
community. Specific: a) Describe the community of São Leopoldo, b) Identify comunity
enterprises, c) Discuss the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the community.To carry out
this study, the nature of qualititative research was adopted. The method used case study. The
technique used is observation and interview. Universe of research is the indigenous
community of São Leopoldo. The sample for this study are small business in the comunity.
The main challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the communnity are: constant power outages,
logistics and drought, lak of focus, lack of knowledge of management, produsts soldo n credit,
lack of planning and lack of support from public authorities. The resulto f the research
revealed that there is not much practice of entrepreneurship in the community.
Entrepreneurship in this community suffer failure due to a lack of knowledge about
entrepreneurship, which makes it difficult to develop their businesses. Realizethat these
entrepreneurs meed support, training and technical knowledge to have a sucessful venture.
