The guiding question of this study will be: Which thecontribution of art to education? The work in question is justifiedsince artistic languages are elements that awaken andexpress feelings, senses, imagination and creation, however, society hasunderstood this field only as entertainment and leisure. In this sense, athis research aims to research the role of visual arts in the formation ofhistorical subjects, from childhood to adulthood. In theoretical termsmethodological we start from a biographical approach in the context of the formation ofteachers, by situating epistemological paths of research with life history orformation narratives. Will be considered writing axes in this study: first, .the construction of a formative memorial of the author in a self movement(biographical), in the sense of looking at oneself, looking at us, second, a process ofcritical reflection on the trajectory of life, especially from the encounter between artand education, personal and collective experiences and experience with art. Compreendendo a arte e suas variadas formas, entre elas a música, dança, teatro e artes visuais como meio de aprendizagem e área de conhecimento, a presente pesquisa tem como objetivo apresentar quais são as contribuições da arte para o ensino da educação infantil. A pergunta norteadora deste estudo será: Qual a contribuição da arte para o ensino na educação? O trabalho em questão justifica-se uma vez que as linguagens artísticas constituem elementos que despertam e expressam sentimentos, sentidos, imaginação e criação, no entanto, a sociedade tem compreendido este campo apenas como entretenimento e lazer. Neste sentido, a presente pesquisa objetiva pesquisar sobre o papel das artes visuais na formação dos sujeitos históricos, desde a infância até a vida adulta. Em termos teórico-metodológicos partimos de uma abordagem biográfica no contexto da formação de professores, ao situar percursos epistemológicos da pesquisa com história de vida ou narrativas de formação.
