This report describes the production process of the video documentary “Art and crafts in Barreirinha and the challenge of artists in the dissemination of Amazonian culture” about the Cultural Association of Artists and Craftsmen (ACAAB), in the municipality of Barreirinha in Amazonas, far from the capital Manaus for approximately 330 kilometers. In this way, he noted the need for na audiovisual and documentary approach so that they can be seen on media platforms. It is necessary to highlight the importance of journalism in the current context that we discuss in this work. To do this, we interviewed six people linked to the subject in question and adopted the perspective of document analysis and in-depth interviews by Duarte and Barros (2011). We used the methods of some scholars who discuss documentary production, such as Bill Nichols (2010), Ramos (2008) and Soares (2007). The collection technique used in this work was the interview method and documentary analysis, which gives more credibility to the product and justifies the problem under discussion, which is the challenge faced by artists in the dissemination of Amazonian culture. The work also had a four-month research period. Finally, the documentary video shows the construction of the Association and the challenges faced by artists in spreading Amazonian culture.
