This course conclusion work addresses the importance of the 33 years of the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and the contribution of Social Services in guaranteeing the rights of these groups. The ECA represents a milestone in the protection of the fundamental rights of children and adolescents, and social workers play a crucial role in the implementation and enforcement of these rights. They work directly with families, identifying rights violations and promoting access to public policies and social services. The research had the general objective of analyzing the contribution of the ECA to the social protection of children and adolescents, with specific objectives of understanding the factors that prevent disrespect for rights, delimiting the rights guaranteed by the ECA and pointing out the role of social workers in this context. The method of dialectical historical materialism is used to understand the movement of real thought in the lives of subjects in society. Content data analysis is performed from institutional documents to extract relevant information. The work is structured into two chapters: the first analyzes the historical process of children's and adolescents' rights, highlighting advances in national and international legislation; the second discusses the role of Social Services in protecting and promoting the rights of these groups, aiming for their healthy development and a dignified life. |
