Resumo:
The present research arose through observations of an internship linked to the curricular subject of Theoretical Methodological Foundations of Early Childhood Education I, and readings of articles, books and curricular contents, raised by the researcher about the need to understand the discussions and practices of teachers in relation to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their learning and development process in the regular school context in Parintins, Amazonas. The objective of the research was to understand teachers' perception of the autistic child's learning process within regular schools in the context of Parintins, Amazonas. Also considering the research carried out through articles, TCCs that debate this topic. The following theorists were approached as contributions: Mantoan (2006), Soares (2021), Cardoso, et al. (2021), Cunha et al. (2020), Barbosa et al. (2016), Buás & Diniz (2018), among others, who talk about the importance of teaching and learning for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their development in the regular school context in Parintins. In order for the work to achieve the expected results, field research was used, which in turn led to knowledge of the explored environment. The research work was based on an exploratory conception, presenting the data obtained, identifying autistic children, and dialoging with the teachers who were present in the teaching-learning of autistic students at a school in the Municipality of Parintins.
