Technological advances provide practicality in many areas of human experience, education, as one of the bases of the formation of the citizen, must be in line with these advances. This monograph highlights Technology in education, more specifically the use of the whatsapp application as a didactic resource for students in the fifth year of elementary school, specifically emphasizing the pedagogical use of this application for mobile devices, called WhatsApp, making this virtual environment an extension of the classroom of class. To carry out this research it was necessary to understand how the application can facilitate and improve teaching, whether inside or outside the school environment and, since used pedagogically, make available to the teacher and students, a range of possibilities to work on the themes and contents referring to elementary education, promoting the construction of knowledge through its use for educational purposes. The objective of this research is to stimulate learning, through the bias of mobility and collaboration, subsidized by WhatsApp. Therefore, it was necessary to carry out a review of the literature, with a narrative content, to understand whether this application can promote teaching and learning collaboratively, through the analysis of articles, master's theses, magazines and journals found in the main databases. scientific data. Throughout the literature review, what is necessary to establish effective teaching methodologies through whatsapp, therefore, it was possible to verify that there are several possibilities, but also limitations of the pedagogical use of the application.
