Resumo:
Astronomical influences on everyday activities, especially the lunar phases, have always been reflections from ancient times to the presente. Thus, the research above has by nature applied, with a quali-quantitative approach, having two stages. The first stage investigates the relationship of lunar phases in the development of crisp lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.), conducted in the district of Fazendinha, Macapá – AP, Brazil. The experimental analysis took place through observation. First, all cultivation phases were recorded: from sowing to harvest, according to the phases of the moon (new, crescent, full, quarter) for three months. The characteristics evaluated were the height and number of leaves of the plant; how this study was conducted made it possible to identify a statistical difference for the full moon phase for the height and number of leaves. Through a Didactic Sequence (DS), the second stage identified the students’ knowledge of lunar influences in daily life, using the Theory of Meaningful Learning (TML), mainly on planting based on the lunar phases. Data where collected through interviews and questionnaires. They presented positive results, as DS made it possible to recognize prior knowledge, develop critical discussions, and favor the learning of new knowledge that was significant.
