Urbanization of a city is directly related to the changes of the rural characteristics of urban features, these changes are caused by the increase of its population, causing a spatial, economic, political, social and cultural change, generating the development of civilization and technology, providing the change in its infrastructure, as is the case of small towns and the twin cities that are located near the border. The aim of this study is to discuss the border town of urbanization process: Bonfim, who before his growth as small and twin city, developed damage to their occupation process. It was adopted as the methodological procedures estapas: Documentary research; bibliographic and data collection, with the application of a questionnaire in 6 districts of the city of Bonfim, which promoted obtaining information related to social and economic profile of the population, providing a comparison of information, using a study of historical, deductive method, through the parts of abistratos landmarks: theoretical and historical, to arrive at concrete study and league form, for the purposes of exploratory, descriptive and explanatory nature, before the data of social dynamics. The questionnaires were performed in 6 steps in the period from December 2015 to January 2016. Following the technical standardization procedures. The results were the identification of economic and social routines of the inhabitants, the historical factors of the city's urbanization process, besides the identification of temporary actors who develop commuting and no direct contribution to the economy of the city. We conclude that the process of occupation of the city of Bonfim was due to the economic, social and urban factors, under which developed its entire historical process, causing an population and urban growth in appropriate and inappropriate areas due to migration processes in several times, causing the triggering of the environmental impacts.
