In this context, this paper aims to show the contribution of workers with entrepreneur capacities graduated in the Faculdade Atual da Amazônia, and their role in the strengthening of the productive sector of Boa Vista from 2007 to 2014 as one of the factors for the economic transformations in the state of Roraima. The methodology used was the analytical and descriptive with a quali-quatitative approach. As for the technical procedures, it was bibliographic, documental and field research, making use of semi-structured questionnaires as the data collecting tool. The methods and techniques used have the purpose of contributing to the description of context and understanding of the aims. The relevance of this paper is regarding the presentation of significant data to the scientific community and to organizations, that will make possible a better understanding of the importance of these workers in the social and economic development of the state of Roraima, with professionals capable of acting in the local market and developing it in a sustainable way. Therefore, the institutions of higher education need to be aware of their local economic reality, matching their teaching plans to proper entrepreneur learning, supplying a school curriculum that has in its structure specific and general subjects that approach this topic, but also extracurricular activities that encourage students’ engagement in entrepreneurship through the contact with the local market and the adequate academic environment. In this perspective, it was confirmed that Faculdade Atual da Amazônia offered an environment intended to encourage entrepreneurship, aiming the development of attitudes and behavioral characteristics of leadership in order to have people making the difference in this scenario, forming professionals with an entrepreneur’s profile and acting in Boa Vista’s commerce, causing transformations in this productive sector in the capital, and therefore, contributing to the states’ economy. A situação socioeconômica de Roraima encontra-se num momento de discussão quanto ao futuro e às potencialidades para o desenvolvimento de um estado, que desde sua implantação, com a Constituição de 1988, tem nos repasses do Governo Federal a sua principal fonte de renda e na administração pública um dos seus principais agentes de emprego. Neste contexto, esta dissertação tem o objetivo de apresentar a contribuição dos profissionais com capacidades empreendedoras, formados pela Faculdade Atual da Amazônia, no fortalecimento do setor produtivo de Boa Vista no período compreendido entre 2008 e 2014 como um dos fatores para as transformações econômicas do estado de Roraima. Para isto utilizou-se como metodologia, a pesquisa analítica e descritiva com abordagem quali-quantitativa. Quanto aos procedimentos técnicos à pesquisa caracteriza-se como bibliográfica, documental e de campo, utilizando-se questionário semiestruturado como ferramenta de coleta de dados. Os métodos e técnicas utilizados têm o propósito de contribuir para a descrição do contexto e a compreensão do objetivo. A relevância desta pesquisa volta-se para a apresentação de dados significativos para a comunidade científica e para as organizações, possibilitando uma compreensão maior sobre a importância de seu papel no desenvolvimento socioeconômico do estado de Roraima, a partir da efetivação de profissionais com a capacidade necessária para atuar no mercado local de forma a desenvolver de maneira sustentável o estado. Espera-se com isto chamar a atenção, principalmente, das Instituições de Ensino Superior para a necessidade de estar atentas à realidade da economia local, adequando aos seus planos de ensino, metodologias compatíveis ao aprendizado do empreendedorismo, empregando currículos que tenham em sua estrutura disciplinas específicas e outras gerais que abordem o tema, além de atividades extracurriculares que oportunize aos acadêmicos, atividades de fomento ao empreendedorismo através do contato com o mercado local, criando um ambiente acadêmico adequado para a formação de profissionais competentes. Nesta perspectiva, confirmamos que a Faculdade Atual da Amazônia oferecia um ambiente voltado ao fomento do empreendedorismo orientado para o desenvolvimento de atitudes e características comportamentais de liderança nas pessoas para que estas fizessem a diferença, formando profissionais com perfil empreendedor que atuaram no mercado de Boa Vista, promovendo transformações no setor produtivo da capital, consequentemente, contribuindo para a economia do estado. 2020-01-02T15:44:00Z 2020-01-02T15:44:00Z 2016 Dissertação RASKOPF, Karla Rosane.
