Taking this theme for granted, this research aimed to develop a mapping of the field of study on administrative process focusing on the specific administrative disciplinary process. According to the methodological construction adopted, this research is classified by its exploratory, descriptive and explanatory nature due its ends as well as by its quali-quantitative nature due its means, both developed through a deductive/ theoretical-legal method that is oriented to apprehend the field of study and the state of the art on administrative process with focus on the specific administrative disciplinary process. On one hand, the methodological procedures of data collection have been performed through a systemic analysis that combined integrative, bibliographical and legal review. On the other hand, the procedures of data analysis have been perfomed by the instruments of graphic analysis and legal hermeneutics. It is concluded from the results presented in this dissertation that the Administrative Disciplinary Process has been understood legally as a generalist phenomenon from the Public Administration eminently backed by the Constitution and by a recognized restricted majority doctrine widely consolidated in the legal environment in comparison to the Administrative Disciplinary Process which in its specificity lacks not only a deepening of doctrine but also an amplified repercussion. O presente estudo voltado à temática do Processo Administrativo enfoca o mapeamento do campo de estudos deste instituto, considerado enquanto ferramenta de controle dos atos administrativos sensível aos anseios dos Administradores Públicos e da Sociedade, além de ser meio de construção de maior credibilidade às instituições jurídico-políticas. Tomando tal temática como referência, a presente pesquisa deslindou como objetivo desenvolver um mapeamento do campo de estudo sobre Processo Administrativo com foco no específico Processo Administrativo Disciplinar. Quanto à construção metodológica, a pesquisa proposta classifica-se por sua natureza exploratória, descritiva e explicativa quanto aos fins, e, quali-quantitativa quanto aos meios, desenvolvida por meio de um método teórico-legal dedutivo que visa apreender o campo de estudo e o estado da arte sobre Processo Administrativo com foco em Processo Administrativo Disciplinar. Por um lado, os procedimentos metodológicos de levantamento de dados foram realizados por meio de uma análise sistemática que combinou revisão integrativa, bibliográfica e documental. Por outro lado, os procedimentos de análise de dados partiram dos instrumentos de análise gráfica e de hermenêutica jurídica. Conclui-se com base nos resultados apresentados nesta dissertação que o Processo Administrativo Disciplinar é compreendido juridicamente como um fenômeno generalista que acontece na Administração Pública, eminentemente respaldado pela Constituição e por uma reconhecida restrita doutrina majoritária amplamente consolidada no meio jurídico, em contraposição ao processo administrativo disciplinar que em sua especificidade carece não apenas de aprofundamento doutrinário, mas também de repercussão ampliada.
