The Public policies are present in daily life people, of the countryside and the city, and has among its objectives provide the human needs and enforce social rights of all. When the government directs policies to the public low-income, enables them effectively belong to society. In rural areas are identified many demands able to be worked through social policies that when applied efficiently promoting better quality of life. Therefore, we had questioning which of those public policies provide the demands of the settlers and contribute to the social, economic and environmental development in the agrarian reform settlements in Roraima, particularly in the Settlement Quitauaú Project. This research analyzed the public policies implemented by the Brazilian Government in rural settlements of Roraima State, which detaching the circumstances and consequences for rural workers, focusing on the participation of Quitauaú Seated in the direction of these policies. To raise both information from the settlers we had used interviews and questionnaires and conducted bibliography research on books andscientific articles that have addressed the issue of public policies and major government programs that directly and indirectly influenced the settlers of Quitauaú. Secondary data were collect from the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), Instituto Nacional de Colonização e Reforma Agrária (INCRA), Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário (MDA). This allowed us to analyze the programs of agrarian reform policy and the influence of these in the settlements of Roraima.
