Resumo:
This study was developed in the city of Boa Vista, Roraima, including four fairs, aiming to diagnose the marketing of fish in this capital of the north of Brazil. Specifically, the study aimed to identify the main actors and tasks involved in the marketing of fish; determining the species of fish marketed; record the approximate production by species; identify ways of marketing and verify the purchase price and sale of fish in the studied period between July 2014 and June 2015. For data collection was used direct observation and semi-structured interviews applied to 49% (18, 37) of fish of these fairs. 57 species of fish have been identified in the four analyzed fairs. The local fishing market was mainly maintained by farmed fish, such as tambaqui - Colossoma macropomum, with 360,547 kg (57%) and matrinxã - Brycon amazonicus with 40,687 kg (6%). The fishing from fish represented only 225,117 kg (37%) of the species, which was derived mainly from Roraima (Caracaraí) and the State of Amazonas. The usual form of presentation of fish was in natura sold a kilo; with little tradition in the marketing of fish with processing. The sales price was mainly related to the type of fish (species). With regard to relations involving the dynamics of the marketing of fish it was observed that the middlemen are the central agents and trade an important place that intensifies the trade in the product. The results of this study may enable development actions, expansion, resource conservation and understanding of the local market today.
