The main objective of this article is to present some reflections on the challenges of teacher education in the Escola da Terra Program, considering the pedagogical experiences developed at UFRRJ - Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, in the interface with public policies for rural education. We developed a bibliographical and documentary research, using among the research sources, legislation, ordinances and decrees, as well as theoretical references on rural education and the Escola da Terra Program. We conclude that the collective production of knowledge, in partnership with course participants, teaching staff, tutors, communities and social movements fighting for land, contributed to the appreciation of the stories, memories, desires and identity recognition of the individuals, individual and collective, of the field, in its close relationship with rural schools. We found that this articulation is one of the main challenges to be faced by the rural education movement in Brazil. ABSTRACT. El objetivo principal de este artículo es presentar algunas reflexiones sobre los desafíos de la formación docente en el Programa Escola da Terra, considerando las experiencias pedagógicas desarrolladas en la UFRRJ - Universidad Federal Rural de Río de Janeiro, en la interfaz con las políticas públicas para el sector rural educación. Desarrollamos una investigación bibliográfica y documental, utilizando entre las fuentes de investigación, legislación, ordenanzas y decretos, así como referencias teóricas sobre educación rural y el Programa Escola da Terra. Concluimos que la producción colectiva de conocimiento, en alianza con los participantes del curso, profesores, tutores, comunidades y movimientos sociales que luchan por la tierra, contribuyó a la apreciación de las historias, memorias, deseos y reconocimiento de la identidad de los individuos, individuales y colectivos, del campo, en su estrecha relación con las escuelas rurales. Encontramos que esta articulación es uno de los principales desafíos que enfrenta el movimiento de educación rural en Brasil. ABSTRACT. O presente artigo tem como objetivo central apresentar algumas reflexões acerca dos desafios da formação docente no Programa Escola da Terra, considerando as experiências pedagógicas desenvolvidas na Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro - UFRRJ, na interface com as políticas públicas de educação do campo. Desenvolvemos uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, utilizando entre as fontes de investigação, legislações, portarias e decretos, assim como, referenciais teóricos sobre a educação do campo e o Programa Escola da Terra. Concluímos que a produção coletiva do saber, em parceria com os cursistas, equipe pedagógica, tutores, comunidades e os movimentos sociais de luta pela terra, contribuiu com a valorização das histórias, memórias, desejos e reconhecimento identitário dos sujeitos, individuais e coletivos, do campo, na sua estreita relação com as escolas do campo. Constatamos que essa articulação é um dos principais desafios a serem enfrentados pelo movimento da educação do campo no Brasil.
