Today, there are new challenges in the context of education, one of which concerns the learning
problems related to traditional forms of teaching, that, unfortunately, are still rooted in the educational practices of many teachers. Today’s students are already familiar with technologies and
their constant advances and, therefore, familiarized to so much dynamism, they feel unmotivated
when attending traditionalist expository classes, which ends up harming the effectiveness of the
teaching-learning process. Therefore, schools, society and the State must update themselves on
the new resources that are available to assist the educational process, including those represented
by Digital Technologies. The general objective his dissertation is to analyze, describe and verify
how the contents of Arithmetic can be taught through the Virtual Professor application. In
addition, the importance of using technologies in education and the concepts of learning objects
will be addressed, as well as the arithmetic and its operations will be defined. It was possible to
conclude, then, that today the importance of using technologies and learning objects as support
to the teacher in the classroom is indisputable and, in this sense, the Virtual Professor software is
configured as a great option for the review of arithmetic contents previously studied. |
