Resumo:
This Course Conclusion Paper (CBT) was produced from a qualitative approach field research, motivated by the question: How can the teacher enable the teaching and learning of basic operations for the understanding of students? For this question we aim to seek methodological strategies that help teachers and students in the operationalization of basic operations. For which it was necessary to know some didactic methods for teaching and learning the four basic operations of mathematics. Thus, a survey was conducted with 48 students from a school of the state education network of the city of Castanhal / PA, where were interviewed 24 students of 7th grade and 24 students of the 1st grade, each student answered 12 questions. multiple choice and four questions with mathematical resolutions, each of which referred to a basic operation. The data collected in the research show that the greatest difficulty of students in mathematical content is the lack of mastery of basic operations, especially the division.
