Its objective is to identify the services provided by them in society and the relation with the development of local tourism as well as the women’s empowerment from their work in Arraias, TO. It was made a qualitative and quantitative sampling research through semi-structured interviews with data collection. From the data and experiences reported, it was observed the need to provide people, especially women, with a greater knowledge about feminism and how it contributes to the appreciation of feminine work. A booklet on the theme is then proposed to show the women’s empowerment, based on their work. Este trabalho visa apresentar a trajetória de trabalho das mulheres. Pretende- se identificar os serviços prestados por elas em sociedade e a relação com o desenvolvimento do turismo local, bem como o empoderamento das mulheres a partir do seu trabalho em Arraias, TO. Através de entrevistas e aplicação de formulários, fez-se uma pesquisa por amostragem tanto quantitativa quanto qualitativa, com coleta de dados e entrevistas semiestruturadas. A partir dos dados e das experiências contadas viu-se a necessidade de levar às pessoas, principalmente às mulheres, um maior conhecimento sobre o feminismo e como ele contribui para a valorização do trabalho feminino.
