This work aims to understand the complex context of the Santos Reis Festival in the Quilombola Kalunga do Mimoso Community, in the municipality of Arraias / TO. This celebration has its own characteristics and rituals and is part of the set of cultural and traditional events that are held annually by the residents of that community. In the context of this celebration, one of the most appreciated rituals by the residents of that community is the gyration of revelry, which brings songs, demonstrations of faith, customs of the elderly in their beliefs. In the perspective of getting to know this celebration better, I conducted research in various bibliographic sources, for example, of the works of Câmara Cascudo (1988), Pessoa; Félix (2007), in addition to articles and dissertations that discuss this theme and I also conducted field research where I sought to be in contact with people in the community, especially the elderly, to hear the stories about this significant cultural manifestation.
