This celebration has its own characteristics and rituals and is part of the set of cultural and traditional events that are held annually by the residents of that community. In the context of this celebration, one of the most appreciated rituals by the residents of that community is the gyration of revelry, which brings songs, demonstrations of faith, customs of the elderly in their beliefs. In the perspective of getting to know this celebration better, I conducted research in various bibliographic sources, for example, of the works of Câmara Cascudo (1988), Pessoa; Félix (2007), in addition to articles and dissertations that discuss this theme and I also conducted field research where I sought to be in contact with people in the community, especially the elderly, to hear the stories about this significant cultural manifestation. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo compreender o complexo contexto do Festejo de Santos Reis na Comunidade Quilombola Kalunga do Mimoso, no município de Arraias/TO. Este festejo têm características e rituais próprios e fazem parte do conjunto de manifestações culturais e tradicionais que anualmente são realizadas pelos moradores da referida comunidade. No contexto, deste festejo, um dos rituais mais apreciados pelos moradores da referida comunidade é o giro da folia, que traz cantos, demonstrações de fé, costumes dos mais velhos em suas crenças. Na perspectiva de conhecer melhor este festejo realizei pesquisa em várias fontes bibliográficas a exemplo, das obras de Câmara Cascudo (1988), Pessoa; Félix (2007), além de artigos e dissertações que discutem esta temática e realizei também pesquisa de campo onde busquei estar em contato com as pessoas da comunidade, especialmente os mais velhos para ouvir as histórias sobre esta significativa manifestação cultural. 2021-04-14T14:59:07Z 2021-04-14T14:59:07Z 2020-07-14 Relatório MARQUES, Tatiane Rosa.
