The main objective of this article was to identify and reflect on how the
use and inclusion of the SignWriting system within deaf communities, as well as to students
deaf in the public education system. This work will preferably discuss the
issues involving the inclusion of the SignWriting system in the educational environment of students
deaf in their historical and current aspects in order to facilitate the understanding of
importance of the use and dissemination of this system in the education of the deaf. The methodology used was
a collection of data that took place through a practice of bibliographic research in articles and
websites, as well as a questionnaire to be answered by deaf students. In order to broaden the perception
from different viewing angles. Thus making possible, a theoretical knowledge that served as
foundation for a greater understanding on this theme. According to research
realizes that a commitment from the entire school community, including parents,
students and teachers, so that there is an evolution in the use and dissemination of this system
sign language, show that the use of SignWriting in no way replaces the use of SignWriting
written Portuguese, but strengthens the idea that Libras is a language
deaf communities. It concludes that, the writing of SignWriting signals must be widely disseminated
precision so that communities realize its importance and that in addition to having a structure
own grammar and possible writing it is also possible to read books and any other subjects
written in this language and how much it can make a difference in the life and education of the deaf student. |
