This Course Conclusion Paper aims to analyze the aspects related to the social
reintegration policy with an emphasis on the reintegration proposal via the legal
diploma of article 22 and 23 of the Criminal Execution Law No. 7 210/84 which
provides that “the social assistance that aims to support the prisoner and the inmate
and prepare them for the return to freedom”, highlighting the education and work
policy that were the focus of our considerations in the Tocantins Prison System. The
analysis consisted of compiling the data provided in the National Survey of
Penitentiary Information - IfoPen of 2014 and 2017, as well as a bibliographic
review of that policy. In this motto, we infer that the policy was not implemented due
to the structural and human deficits present in the tocantinense prison parks. Based
on the analyzes, a picture of prison overcrowding, absenteeism in the functional
staff, in particular the Social Work professionals, makes it impossible to implement
actions that effectively contribute to the reintegration of the egress of the
tocantinense prison system into society. |
