The technical procedures used were bibliographic research together with data collection from companies in the city. The questionnaire consisted of six unstructured questions, sent via WhatsApp to 25 companies in the region. The survey was conducted from March to April 2022 and received a response from 52% of the consulted establishments. One of the main results observed was in relation to the initial impact of the pandemic, which directly affected the flow of customers in the establishments and the variation of prices. Social networks were fundamental for attracting new customers and boosting products and services. Based on the present study, future research related to the topic is recommended, mainly to verify whether the strategies adopted during the pandemic remain or have returned to the previous level. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo verificar as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos empresários de Araguaína em gerir seus negócios em tempos de pandemia. Os procedimentos técnicos utilizados foram a pesquisa bibliográfica juntamente com a coleta de dados junto a empresas da cidade. O questionário foi composto por seis perguntas estruturadas, enviadas via WhatsApp para 25 empresas da região. A pesquisa foi realizada durante o período de março a abril de 2022 e obteve resposta de 52% dos estabelecimentos consultados. Um dos principais resultados observados foi com relação ao impacto inicial da pandemia, que afetou diretamente o fluxo de clientes nos estabelecimentos e a variação dos preços. As redes sociais foram fundamentais para captação de novos clientes e o impulsionamento de produtos e serviços.
