The supervised curricular internship was carried out at the Vida Animal Veterinary Clinic, located in Araguaína, Tocantins. In the areas of medical clinic and small animal surgical clinic, starting on March 7, 2022 and ending on May 16, 2022, totaling 390 hours, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Andréa Cintra Barros Tôrres Passos and supervision of Veterinary Doctor Aline Marinho Machado Gomes. During this period, 188 consultations were followed between clinical and surgical cases in dogs and cats. This report aims to describe the activities developed, such as follow-up consultations, vaccinations, hospitalizations and surgeries, describing the series of clinical care and surgical procedures performed during the internship period. In addition, the present report addresses the case of a canine, approximately 8 years old, female, weighing 6.1 kg, named Bolinha, who presented clinical signs compatible with valvular heart disease, which were later confirmed by tests such as myxomatous degeneration of the mitral valve.
