Resumo:
This research was based on the Cultural-Historical theoretical perspective, especially the studies of Vygotsky (2001), when investigating the higher psychological functions, revealing in his studies that these functions, such as thought, consciousness and memory, among others, are developed in the social and cultural interaction of the individual with his environment and with other people (SOUSA; ANDRADA, 2013). With this perspective, we understand that students construct knowledge from this interaction and in the appropriation of different languages around them. The present study is part of a Scientific Initiation research (PIBIC) carried out in the course of Rural Education with qualification in Arts and Music, at the Universidade Federal do Norte do Tocantins (UFNT), Tocantinópolis campus, and makes an approach about the reading and production of comics books with young and adult peasants of this course. The main goal is to identify the contributions of comic books as a didactic and pedagogical resource for remote teaching. Among some results found, it was possible to notice the contributions of comic books as a didactic and pedagogical resource in the Visual Arts field for remote teaching, which can be a powerful and relevant tool to work on teaching- learning in rural education. From the data generated throughout the development of this research, it was understood that the comic books enabled the students to develop theoretical thinking from the elaboration of a study activity representing their realities as rural education students, making it easier to understand the essence of the countryside.
