This paper of monograph presents the potential of the traditional Magic Cube for the teaching
of mathematics from its resolution and practice. In this sense, bibliographic studies were
carried out, trying to understand how the game can become a teaching tool and how the
teacher organizes this activity and, from this, teach mathematics through the practice of the
toy. The problematizing question came up with the following question: What does the math
teacher need to know about the problem solving processes of the magic cube?
The objectives of this work are to produce a didactic material about the magic cube that
equips the teacher of mathematics to use it in his teaching practice and in this way bring a
possible contribution to the teacher training. The method of approach was characterized as
bibliographic. As results, we have the elaboration of three chapters that integrate this work in
the format that allow the realization of workshops with the magic cube for the training of
mathematics teachers. |
