In this sense, bibliographic studies were carried out, trying to understand how the game can become a teaching tool and how the teacher organizes this activity and, from this, teach mathematics through the practice of the toy. The problematizing question came up with the following question: What does the math teacher need to know about the problem solving processes of the magic cube? The objectives of this work are to produce a didactic material about the magic cube that equips the teacher of mathematics to use it in his teaching practice and in this way bring a possible contribution to the teacher training. The method of approach was characterized as bibliographic. As results, we have the elaboration of three chapters that integrate this work in the format that allow the realization of workshops with the magic cube for the training of mathematics teachers. Este trabalho de monografia apresenta as potencialidades do Cubo Mágico tradicional para o ensino de matemática a partir de sua resolução e prática. Nesse sentido, foram realizados estudos de cunho bibliográfico, buscando compreender de que forma o jogo pode se tornar uma ferramenta de ensino e como o professor organiza essa atividade e, a partir disso, ensinar matemática através da prática do brinquedo. A questão problematizadora se deu com a seguinte pergunta: O que o professor de matemática precisa saber sobre os processos resolutivos do cubo mágico? Os objetivos desse trabalho consistem em produzir um material didático a respeito do cubo mágico que instrumentalize o professor de matemática a utilizá-lo na sua prática docente e desta forma trazer uma possível contribuição para a formação docente. O método de abordagem se caracterizou como bibliográfico.
