Resumo:
The games represent a problem-solving practice, in addition, the teacher being a mediator complies with the pedagogical practice with the exercise of evaluating considering the daily life of a specific audience such as Youth and Adult Education, also propose good questions in order to of enhancing the ability to comprehend mathematical facts and concepts. The main objective of this research is to contribute to the teaching of mathematics learning, showing the reader that the use of the games in the subject in question, can be of great importance in the present day, bringing great benefits to teaching. Initially, a bibliographical research was done on references that deal with the subject matter. A case study was carried out in the 3rd period of the High School in the State School Francisco Máximo de Sousa, using a questionnaire with closed questions, which will be analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively aiming to answer the guiding question of this research. With questions addressed to the teacher and student, having as basic principle the knowledge on the theme "Use of Games in Mathematics Teaching", as well as an activity to be answered using the game. Then, from the results shown in the graphs, conclude the importance and influence that the games have in the classroom. Since the games are a pedagogical resource that structures thinking and reasoning, important skills to solve problems and calculations, students learn in a playful and meaningful way, a new concept of learning and interaction between teacher and student, student and student.
