Hallyu (also called Korean Wave), began to take shape both with the efforts of the private sector and the great importance given by the public sector, sharpening the creation of public diplomacy. The conditioning of how it was elaborated and being applied over the years, produces what we call Soft Power within International Relations. With this, the hypothesis is that the training on the development of cultural diplomacy in view of the consumption of Hallyu that we currently see encourages the creation of the Korean Cultural Center in order to possibly assume a role of promoting the expansion of Hallyu in the countries. Therefore, the objective of this work is to investigate the phenomenon of growth of Hallyu focusing on the investigation of the Korean Cultural Center as a tool for Korean cultural expansion. In this way, through qualitative research, it is possible to conclude that the development of Hallyu and the role of the Korean government demonstrates progress with the implementation of the centers. A Coreia do Sul e sua diplomacia cultural ganharam aspectos importantes dentro da década de 1990, pois foi quando o governo começou a perceber que a área poderia ter avanços e potencialidades para que fosse construída uma imagem do país ao exterior em suas inúmeras formas e ganhos (tanto financeiro como de prestígios). A Hallyu (também chamada de Korean Wave ou Onda Coreana), começou a ganhar formas tanto com os esforços do setor privado quanto da grande importância dada pelo setor público, aguçando a criação de uma diplomacia pública. O condicionamento de como foi elaborada e sendo aplicada ao longo dos anos, produz o que chamamos de Soft Power dentro das Relações Internacionais. Com isso, a hipótese é que o conhecimento sobre o desenvolvimento da diplomacia cultural em vista do consumo da Hallyu que vemos atualmente encoraja a criação do Centro Cultural Coreano no objetivo de possivelmente assumir um papel de fomentar a expansão da Hallyu nos países. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é investigar o fenômeno de crescimento da Hallyu com enfoque na investigação do Centro Cultural Coreano como ferramenta de ampliação cultural do país.
